>From : Philippe COURANT, 1957 Crown convertible ; PAU (France) Hi all, As I?m new to the list I don?t know what I could bring to you about forward look cars? In France there are more Cadillac and Corvette than Mopar ! i.e at our club there are 400 Cad and 300 Corvette but less than 80 Mopars (remember that our club is an all year american car club so the Forward look cars are less than 20..). But as Mopar consultant of the club and very specialised in the Forward Look years (I don?t like Voyager and Volare?), I know other FWLK cars in France not affiliated with our club. Most of them were imported in the ?80s / ?90s from USA but there are original FWLK cars sold new in France in the ?50s. And the most original were the Export models like DeSoto Diplomat and Dodge Kingsway. I?ve pics of 56/57/58/60 DeSoto Diplomat and 58/59 Dodge Kingsway. As you know all these cars are Plymouth with front end clips of DeSoto or Dodge (except the 60 Diplomat coming from Dodge Pioneer). I?ve also a pic of a very scarce model : a 60 Chrysler Coronado which is a Plymouth 60 limo? And itsn?t a custom? If someone wants the pics, e-mail me (each is 30 kO JPG file) but perhaps I could send them to the webmaster of the FWLK list who could use them as he wants. Sorry for the english?. -- Philippe COURANT Imperial 57 Crown convertible Buick 58 Roadmaster sedan American Car Club de France : visit our site : http://www.accf.com |
