[FWDLK] questions?????????

Maybe someone can help with two questions:

1.
What was the original color of  the '55 Ply engine and the oil filter,
oil tube cap, generator, and starter?
When I bought the car a few years back it was in an unrestored state and
much of the engine and engine compartment paint had faided. It did have
what seemed like an orange oil filter but most of the engine compartment
was down to the bare metal, I remember seeing similar engines in silver
color, so in time I painted it with aluminum paint, but I don't know if
this is a correct color. Also, aluminum paint does not last that long.
The coil, voltage, regulator, and air cleaner are black and still have
the decals on them.

2.
Does anybody know of a reliable and good carburetor shop? I would like
to have the '55 carburetor restored and tested-
Hemmings lists quite a few businesses, but I thought maybe someone can
recommend one that provides good reliable service.
