Hi Steven -

        Welcome to the list.  Regarding your 59 NYer story,  I had the same thing
happen to me with a 58 Plymouth 2dr HT.  The old lady sold it, even though
I told her I wanted it and sent her a deposit. ( This happened about 11
years ago.)  These things have a way of working out, though.  I'm willing
to bet that there was lots of bondo in the Chrysler, especially since you
said there was a huge hole in the fender. I'm assuming the hole was from
rust. Not a good sign, unless you're up to doing all that welding.  Now you
can take your time and find the car of your dreams.

        Since you live in Michigan, I was wondering if you've ever been to
Hillard's Scrapyard in Vestaburg, Michigan ?  I was up there in August, but
only had time to drive by, since I was rushing to make my flight back to
CT.
