The gear is actually in the transmission at the end of the cable, not in the Speedo itself. Follow the cable down and you will see when it screws into the transmission. Unscrew the cable and the gear is behind the panel it's screwed into. It will be fairly obvious how it's attached. Then just swap them. Can be done without spilling any tranny fluid if you are careful. Should take less than a half hour to swap. The diameter would be different (larger) !! On Friday, August 2, 2019 cpollock2 <cpollock2@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Ok. Read the tire size from the sidewall. Then the rear end ratio. This is normally stamped on a metal tag attached to the diff. Now go here: https://www.tciauto.com/speedometer-gear-calculator Pull up torqueflite. All the transmissions are on the page. The last one I bought was from mancini racing and they were not too expensive. Good luck Thanks! -------- Original message -------- From: Don Wieber <donhwieber@xxxxxxxxx> Date: 8/2/19 12:24 (GMT-05:00) To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [FWDLK] transmission the height of the tire is the same as the one's that it came with. i do not know the rear gear ratio.
