FLML,
Has anyone actually run
their ‘56 Plymouth Savoy Sedan or Belvedere 4dr. across truck scales or weighed
their “daily driver” car?
I would like some
feedback on the weight recorded as 56 Ply 4dr. is disassembled for a complete
rebuild and would like to know the “wet” weight to compare against the published
chart.
The printed data for
chassis weight is as follows and illustrates “dry weight” only.

Thank you Ron Swartley for your reply of the chart
illustrating “dry” weight; without any fluids – radiator fluid/water, gasoline,
oil, brake fluid, greases...and thank you for any and all future
reponses!

snow/ice/sleet/rain/COLD weather and I will swap you some sunshine if it were
possible!)

Subject: Re: [FWDLK] Question: Weight of 56 Plymouth 4dr.
Savoy
1) Can someone please tell me the actual weight of their 56 Plymouth 4dr.
Savoy w/Powerflite?
I am not sure the book data is correct at approx. 3300lbs. Years ago I
weighed my ‘56 Ply 4dr. Savoy on the scale at the local dump and thought it came
in at 3540lbs. w/o driver – but my memory is fading...!
2) Can someone tell me if a 275/60-15 radial will fit the 56 Ply rear wheel
well w/o rubbing?
