Gary -
Just had to do this for a 56 Plymouth 2dr HT. It's option
2, up the A-post pillar, then across to the center of the headliner, in your
case.

Subject: [FWDLK] 56 Plymouth Wiring route
question: door switch

FLML,
Can someone tell me the correct/best routing of the 56 Ply 4dr. Sedan
front door switch wiring that feeds/connect to the dome light housing?
I pulled all my old wiring out years ago and have no reference but it
appears there are two options:
1) Feed front door switch wiring DOWN to floorboard and route under alum.
scuff plates and then up inside each respective door pillar (or on the outside
where wires will be covered by the pillar facia plates) to the roof and onto
the dome light switch; or...
2) Feed front door switch wiring UP and inside the front A-pillars and
then out to run along the top of the roof rail shell avoiding being pinched by
headliner installation.
Thank you for any help!
