On earlier cars the power originates at the starter relay, comes through the firewall, and arrives at a circuit breaker mounted under the driver's kick panel. Power to the seat motor is then supplied from the circuit breaker.

we are currently trying to figure out the wiring for the power seat controls for a '61 Chrysler and can't seem to figure out where the red #10 wire that goes from the seat motor, under the carpet and then ??????? we are wondering what powers the motor since we can hot wire the control solenoid and it works, but no power to the motor from the red wire. HELP!!! the cars service manuals don't seem to be helping. I attached a picture of the model car we have.
