[FWDLK] Fw: [FWDLK] Newbie & Flat Heads



I have a 47 Plymouth with the later 230 cu. in. six. The same engine as in the 55 you are talking about. It has dual carbs and headers from Red's Headers especially built for the 217-230. He used my car to create a pattern for the headers which he now sells. You can reach Jim at 760 343 2805. I think I used his 24 inch glass packs and the exhaust sound from this combination is the best 6 cyl. I have ever heard. I have two others that don't even come close.

Flatties are not my forte, but, I think that Offy makes a dual
1-bbl intake; that's probably plenty, for just cruising
around, with a smiled upon camshaft and headers/
exhausts, and impressing people when you pop the hood.

I like vintage style mods, that could have been done, back in
the day.
