Re: [FWDLK] car antenna

LOL---since my present car cover is on its last 'legs' (if there is such a thing!)
and the elastic binding around the perimeter of the cover is long gone,
I've been closing the doors so that the cover is 'caught' under the the upper edges of the windows, to keep the winds from blowing the cover off of the car.

The non-retractable fender antenna actually helps keep the cover on the car.

Thanks to all of you that responded to my question on the car antenna. All of you have great ideas and suggestions including on how to further protect the paint finish. My main problem is that my city is extremely windy almost all year round and dust is a huge disadvantage around here. I use a regular cover and one of those blue tarps on top to keep the dust away from filtering and caking on the car cover. Installing a grommet for the antenna on the car cover is an excellent idea, but the blue tarp is so cheaply and flimsy made (China) that it tears up easily after a while. Thus, that was my reason for wanting to install a fully retractable antenna. Thanks! Jesus '55 Ply Belv
