It apparently has a real 56 D500 engine block, but, the stamping number,
7230
appears to be rather high for an early-production race car D500-1. The engine's assembly, which includes a 1957 Offy intake manifold and non-1956 choked-carbs indicates that this car is a dual-carb 'creation' although it may well be a single-4 D500 vert. This car also has power brakes and power steering, which were not installed on D500-1's. Nice looking car, though. Hell, I would even try to figure out how to do a conversion if I could just find a rust bucket convert..any one know of one?
