It takes a while for the transmission fluid which has drained down
to a certain extent to get back into all the little valves and passages, etc.
Also the pressure in the lines take a short period to reach throughout the
transmission.
Never gun or race an engine when you first start it. You hear
the valves, etc because the oil has not been pumped through the engine with the
pressure for the first few moments after it has been started. Transmission has
the same reaction.
How fast do you move when you get up and are first started on a
cold morning or after you been in bed for a long time???? LOL

HELLO
MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this happen to anyone???????????? ANY
IDEAS????????????
My cast iron TF runs fine.......... BUT--In vey
cold weather,,,,or when its been sitting for a month,,the first time it
goes for the 1st-2nd shift,,,,it holds first for QUITE a while, even at
light throttle. The next 1st 2nd shift is sooner By the 3rd time,,its a
normal progression of 1st-2nd
My own thought is a poorly lubricated
governor weight or valve?????????? which is somewhat sticking' ??? ED
