Any time there is a groove, it has the purpose of
providing position adjustment. Whether that is hood latch adj. or brake
shoe adj or others.
Get some penetrating oil on to yours and get them
loose. Without doing so you cannot do a complete and proper adjustment of
your shoes.

Sorry guys I didnt get an
answer to my question and I didnt give enough detailed to my problem.
This is on the brakes of a 1958 Dodge. The part that is in question is
the anchor located on the support plate. Mine is stuck and does not move in
the grove. My question is should the anchor move free in the
grove..Thanks for any
help.

Anchors
Hey Guys
Could someone tell me if the ANCHOR on the support plate is suppost to be free to
slide back and forth freely in the grove. Mine is stuck and dosent move. It will move if I
drive it back and forth with a hammer.
Thanks
Mack
