I used Colorworks by Krylon CWA-1106 Banner Red for the air cleaner for my 
59 Dodge w/2bbl carb. I believe that the red air cleaner was only used for 
2bbl carbs. If you are keeping the 4bbl setup, then I think the air cleaner 
was either black or gold, but most likely not red.

Does any one know the proper  shade of red the air filter on the 59 ply 
belvedere should be? Mine had been painted gold when I purchased it.I have a 
4 bbl  on & I have to make changes on the mount to the carb & I would like 
to bring it back to the original look if possible.Thanks in advance.
