Well, Mr. Hopkins, and anyone else offended by my
references to Bible verses, I'm sorry your offended by it, , but I
also don't see why I should remove it from my email signature which is
the same email sig. that everyone I email sees, Whether it's here, or
on Moparstyle, et al., and I must say, you're the first one who
has made any complaint about it. I know there's members on the mailing
list who don't see things the way some others here do in reference to
things of faith, etc., but don't see why it should be an issue either.
It isn't for me. I don't see how a bible verse constitutes a
discussion of "religion".
I know and sometimes understand why some folks have no
use for "religion" (you might be surprised to know I
don't like "religion" either), but you should understand that your
anger or disagreement isn't likely to get me to remove it, nor should I
be expected to either.
When I see something that offends me, I look away or
move from it, not make them remove it from me. When I hear something
that offends me, I don't ask them to quit talking, or ask the radio/tv
station to remove it, I go away from it or turn it elsewhere or off,
and if I happen to read something I don't like, I don't ask them to not
print it or remove it, I don't read it again or get in a position to
not have to be exposed to it. If my reference to the Bible bothers you,
I suggest you block me from your inbox, or easier, just don't read it
or ignore it.
I don't see how it interferes w/the goings on with the
Forward Look mailing list. It is the very last thing you should see on
my responses or questions. The administrator has never asked me to
remove it.
I would hope you'd see my point, as I see and respect, but
certainly don't agree with, yours. This is America, we can
exercise or express our faith, as well as exercise our non-faith, I
respect the views of all. And I would suggest you do also.

I recall a post by Mr. Hopkins a while back regarding his position
on homosexual marriage on this forum. I believe he said he had been
protesting against those wishing to restrict legal marriage to strictly
a hetero union. It seemed an odd thing to be seen here. Interesting,
the hypocrisy some can espouse for what THEY consider appropriate
topical matter, while trying to shut down others for what they don't.
Had anyone stepped up and smacked Mr. Hopkins down over the
aforementioned post, the cries of "hatespeak" would be sure to follow.
Simply amazing.
