If you are talking about the little notch opposite the locating tabs,
I haven't seen those on bearings for some time. If the rods have the
notch in them, I just file an opening in the bearing shell. I don't
think the post 60s engines had rods with those notches.

I have a question about the rod bearings. My originals top and bottom have a half moon when put together forms a circle, this circle is for oil flow around the rod bearings. The new Clevite rod bearings do not have this setup for oil flow. Does anyone know of a brand that does?A picture of the two bearings, old and new, can be found at www.myimperials.com/bearingsThanks; Anthony ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
