I have been told and used a '55 and older (6 volt) starters in cars I have converted to 12 volt. all without issue.

Does anyone know if a 1957 Plymouth starter will fit in a 1955 Plymouth with a 241.  The '55 has been converted to 12 volts.  NAPA shows a starter for 1957 Plymouth which looks similar to mine.
