Ron,
Is there any Carter part number on it?
1965 Carter manual says:
1957-63 8-cyl (dist. at rear)
wo/AC M2504
w/AC M3268
I had the carburetors by mistake. Would be a waste to delete my typing.
1962 318 Original Replacement:
S/T 3240S 3240S
A/T 3241S 3240S
Power Pack A/T 3247S 3247S
Power Pack C.C.V. 3249S 3249S

Steve -
There are only two ports on this fuel pump, so no return line involved.
Can someone check a '62 or later parts book for 2279913, fuel pump for 318
engine, to see if it's for a/c only cars ?
Thanks,
Ron

On the ones I have seen the a/c cars have a fuel return line going back
to
the tank and the non a/c cars do not. Adding the return line helped with
vapor lock. I don't know if you can seal up the return line from an a/c
pump
and have it still work properly.

**The parts book lists different fuel pump part numbers for cars with air
**conditioning and without. Why would that be, and what would happen if
**you
**put an a/c fuel pump on a car without a/c ?
**
**I recently bought a NOS fuel pump for my 58 Ply, but it turns out to be
**for
**a/c cars.

**Thanks,
