The Hollander manual says the 1957-63 windshields will interchange because
they are the exactly the same. The Imperial body introduced in 1957 was
used through to and including 1966, with sheet metal changes in 1960, front
sheet metal in 1961, rear sheet metal in 1962 and the roof in 1963. The
body received a major overhaul in 1964, but the basic cowl and A pillars
remained.
NAGS W465 windshield will fit all 1957-63 Imperials, on all body styles,
plus 1964-66 convertibles,
NAGS W648 will fit 1964-66 Imperial hardtops. This windshield does not
have the bubble effect the NAGS W465 unit has but the basic size, 26x78, is
the same.
The Chrysler part numbers for the 1957-63 plus 1964-66 convertible
windshields -
clear - 1651 431
tinted - 1690 871
Chrysler part numbers for the 1964-66 hardtop windshields -
clear - 2422 242
tinted - 2422 246

Subject: Re: [FWDLK] Imperial glass interchange?
The Hollander interchange manual says all '57-'63 windshields are the same,
but I don't think I trust that. Perhaps they are interchangeable, but not
exactly the same.

Someone has emailed me wondering if '58 Imperial glass will fit a '60. I
think they interchange, so long as it's the same body style (IE hardtop only
fits hardtop/convertible, post sedans only fit post sedans), because '60 is
the last year for that body (albeit fairly well restyled from the 57-59
cars). Anyone know for sure? Glass book?
Thanks
