Depends on how many amps it is. 1 amp would probably do for a typical old car radio. -BUT - battery chargers are not necessarily "clean" power supplies, so there could be risk of voltage variances and some a/c signal getting to the radio which could be damaging to it.

At the very least, you will likely get a hum thru the speakers.
