Larry,
Your
engine is the 7,460th D500 engine in 1957. Engine serial numbers
start at 1001.
Some
suitable spark plugs are: Champion RJ12YC, AC R44S, AutoLite 85, and AC Rapid Fire #7
I have
some rebuild suggestions for D500 Hemis on my web page at:

Subject: [FWDLK] 57 Hemi
Just looking at the 57 Hemi I got this weekend, and the
number on the top of the block is: KD500-8460. Does that mean it is
the 8.460th D500 Hemi for 1957? If not, what does it mean?
This engine will go back into the 57 Coronet 4dr HT Lancer that it originally
came out of, once Spring gets here. Anything I need to look at to
"freshen" the engine (which I have been told runs great)? It
came with a new box of engine gaskets. What Champion plugs should it use?
