..Yeah, well it was the sisters' in-laws and out-laws (a nephew, in
particular) who convinced them (probably didn't take much effort) to try
to make a quick buck by allowing Ultra None to strip off the
accumulated 'stuff' from the car.
The mind-boggling question (besides WHY someone would try to do that,
given the car's obviously rotten condition is:) WHAT did anyone expect
to find, underneath all that corrosion, and what could they do with the
remains, once it was uncovered?

Neil--
Maybe there's a twelve-step program for Tulsarama-withdrawal...
Seriously, those ol' sisters are 93 and 83! They were 43 and 33 back in
1957. [Good math, right!] Very likely a 1957 model is just a used car to
them. Their nostalgia would be more towards a 1920's or 1930's vintage car.
One thing positive I can say is that your commentary, Neil, has conveyed a
certain sense of "being there" to those of us who weren't... for whatever
reason. So keep your passion going!

Yeah, well I say, as a dues-paying member of the FWDLK-legation at the
Tulsarama event, a Super-deligate, if-you-will, that it is a Car-matic
shame that such an unappreciative, avaricious family had to win the
ownership of the car, and to attempt to strip it of its hard-earned
patina
and tomb-wounds, for the sake of the Almighty Dollar, instead of
arranging to preserve it as an historic artifact.

Yeah, well, I'm really trying.
If you weren't there, you wouldn't understand.
