Doug Pollock, owner of SMS, is a great guy and if he says
he can duplicate your fabric he'll do it. He has relatives with fabric
mills in the south.
Hopefully it'll wear better than the original MoPar
cr--.

Subject: [FWDLK] UP DATED 56 FURY SEAT
MATERIAL
I have been corresponding with Doug, the owner of SMS Interiors
To make a long story short I asked why his company only offers a
substitute and not the original 56 Fury material for the seat inserts.
At least 3 time I bought several yards of the original 56 Fury
material from SMS but as of about 10+ years ago they switched to something
that looks similar without the gold strands,----new fabric wears better but it
is not what came in the cars from the factory. ( original with gold metal
strands was beautiful, but did not wear well BACK WHEN WE WERE DRIVING THE
CARS EVERYDAY.) Doug, told me he has not seen the old original material
that they used to sell 10+ years ago. My one Fury has the original material
which was bought from SMS. It is an exact duplicate of the factory material.
Doug asked me if I could get him a small piece of
the original factory or original SMS 56 Fury material like they used to sell,
and then he could see if they could duplicate it.
Do any of you guys know where I can get a
SMALL piece of this original factory or original old SMS
material?
It has tiny gold super thin metal strands
running all through the material. If he is willing to duplicate it for us
it will keep our 56 Fury's AACA correct----please help me to get a small
piece to him for duplications. Look under your seat for extra material, some
times it is just folded under. This is a great opportunity for us 56 Fury
owners -----please let's try to give Doug the small piece of original gold
strand material he asked for, so he can try to duplicate it for
us.
E mail me if you have any questions.
Thanks guys,
Ron Allyn Swartley
