there is a 6 volt pertronix or equivalent out there--- back in 97-98 i put an electronic conversion in my friend's 49 roadmaster convt with the straight 8.... it was still 6 volt with a tar-top battery--- the concern of 2 wires instead of 1 was an issue for this AACA winner.
