Wayne can chime in here, but he PM'ed me to say that the NY'er did have
a two 4-bbl "Power Package" option, but, that engine wasn't
coded/spec'ed as a 300.
The 57 300's had two 325 HP versions (which were single 4-bbl's,
apparently built to NY'er specs).
Those two engines were either A/C equipment attached (and
silver-painted, along with the engine block), or non A/C equipped.
Wayne also mentioned having seen, back in the 'day', a cross-rammed '61
NY'er, which he belives was the '61 version of the dual cqarb "Power
Package".

Hello Members
A 'what if' rhetorical question for a cloudy afternoon..........
A while back I remember Wayne Grafen saying that the 57 NEW YORKER could have been ordered with the 300C dual quad engine........
Does any one know if a 58 NEW YORKER could have also been ordered with the 300D engine???
How about a FUEL INJECTED 58 NEW YORKER?
Could it have been a possibility???
Any one know if one was ever built???
