I really looked over the Plymouth Fury Jim had for sale, recently.
I didn't want to deal with the custom hood and I have no spare hood, or really any
Forwardlook  Plymouth parts to spare. I'm not knocking his price.

I love ebay because of the availability of hard to find parts, I need, that often show up there.

Here is where I mock ebay.
A new Challenger just sold for more than $18,000 above what the MSRP will be.
The car is being ordered by a dealership and they auctioned off the future car.
This auction was the "right" to buy it.

I see parts go for higher prices on ebay than what they go for at the dealer.
That's right, at the dealer. Still available.

Part of it may be auction fever, but I'm leaning more toward the suggestion that
people are too lazy to seek out what is available, or too rich to care, or too stupid.

I need to advertise my stuff so I can make some money.

as much as everyone mocks ebay, figure it this way- an auction is the opportunity for the WORLD to see a particular car... what it ends at is the speculative market value - what someone, somewhere wants to pay.. that dodge would most likely surpass the asking price, though i've scored better for the prices it "should be", they are no longer reality.
the avg ebay price of a 57/8 plymouth in that condition has held strong over 7k on ebay the past year, running or not
