THAT officer drives a Camaro (nobody's perfect!) and he & another
officer pulled the graveyard shift at the Vault, on WED nite, when a
bunch of us walked back over there , to revisit
the area, and reminisce about the day, and the previous 50 years!
I hit the 'send' button, by mistake, on my previous post; I have nothing
against SKD; she's just another local self-important-person
who likes to grandstand (literally) civic functions.
Didn't she marry-money, and drives a 56 T-Bird, too?
Right now, preliminary plans are being made, over on the FWDLK website,
to try to arrange a get-together in Vegas, for around the weekend of
6/15/08.
If it gets finalized, and altho I spent 6 road-days getting to/from
Tulsa, if Vegas seems like it's a long-way from you, there's been a new
invention that you've probably heard about:
airplanes!
Vegas has very good public transpotation, including a mono-rail, and,
there will be no concerns about getting rousted from a bar, at "Closing
Time" .

The
local police & sheriffs were VERY friendly (even TALKATIVE--ever try to
have a normal conversation with a cop, while he's on duty, or NOT?) They
showed real smiles, not just professional ones.
To Neil's point here is my wife's nominee for most congenial and friendly..
While standing at graveside to make sure we didn't fall in he was always
understanding of why we were there... If you have to put a face on why we
were treated so well here he is! Marv
