Hi, Bill, and Wayne:My use of the term "testies" was a play on words, having to do with the performance testing of the 1956 & 1957 Dodge D500's, and, it also referred to the increasingly testy communications regarding the intransigence of our members to acknowledge the veracity of various published test/race results, and how those data might relate to the claims being made about the real-world accomplishments of the subject race cars. I certainly hope that you were not confusing the use of the plural form of testy with "testes", which refers to the male reproductive organs. In that regard, perhaps I could receive your advise and/or authority about the use of such terms as damn, s**t, liar, and pissed-off, all of which, among others, have recently appeared on these threads (I realize that I'm forgetting a few other terms). BTW: back on thread: I hope to receive the 1955 - 1961 "Drag News" compilation, sometime this week, and will have to follow-up with the NHRA museum on THUR, when it re-opens, to discuss/confirm the various Stock & gas classes in which the D500's may have competed.
