Just checked the 5/56 Hot Rod (man: EVERYBODY should have this issue in their libraries!) and determined that a 1956 Belvedere : " ...weighed in at an even 3700 pounds. Of this, 2100 pounds, or 57% of the total was on the front wheelsand 1600 pounds,or 43% was on the rear wheels." And, oh yeah, HR also tested a 1956 CRL (regular) D500 , and said , in their Performance Chart, that the car weighed in at 3,880 pounds (damn, I'm good) with 2200 lbs, 56.5% on the front, and 1680 pounds, 43.5% on the rear wheels.
