 MEDIA ADVISORY:  Buried Belvedere Update

TULSA, Okla. (Sept. 14, 2007) ? Immediately after the unearthing of the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere, organizers announced that Tulsarama would transfer ownership of the car to the appropriate person in approximately 90 days. 

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the committee is still working toward a final determination of the Belvedere?s rightful owner.  Raymond Humbertson, whose 1957 population guess was closest to Tulsa?s actual population in 2007, passed away in 1979.  Because Humbertson had no children or will, the situation is being examined by a legal team.

 

?At this time, there has not been a final determination of the appropriate legal heir to receive the Belvedere.  We anticipate having a legal opinion on this issue within the next month,?   Don Walker, Tulsarama Co-Chair, said today.
