I Had a
Dream by John
Bartell
I had a dream, reaching far beyond the stars,
I could see Tulsa, land of the buried cars.
I knew once I saw concrete, water and the
rust,
I had this vision, greenbacks, in God We
Trust.
I knew nature had mixed the air, the water and
the steel,
I had this funny inkling, from my head down to my
heels.
I now had no intention of wishing for the
best,
I saw no reason, for the vault did not stand the
test.
I would put my money on the line, and make a bid for
her,
I would remove her rust, 100% for
sure.
I wished no ill feelings, I only wanted to
show,
I could make her shine, this I
did know.
I will buy lots of parts and pay whatever it
takes,
I will have her painted, full restoration, making no
mistakes.
I don't care about history and her incredible
past,
I must change this girl, and it must be
done, very, very fast.
I do believe they will come, from miles all
around,
I can already hear, the money
rustling sound.
I will put her on display, in all her restored
glee,
I at that time, will run off to the bank , smiling
happily.
