Why are parts guys so preoccupied
,err rude as that has been my experience as well...
If I have the part number and sound
as I know what I am doing I get way better service, but if I need help finding
the numbers and parts I am treated like a numb
skull...
It is frustrating because with the
older cars allot of parts interchange and unless I know the exact deal I get
little to no help...
as far as oil filters go, on my 57 I
just changed it from a old style canister to a spin on set up, makes me look
forward to the next LOF, without all the mess from the
canister!!

Filter
It seems that's typical of parts departments in general. I know my
dealership's parts counter people don't want to be bothered with older stuff (
or newer stuff for that matter) and are rude to customers on a daily basis and
my friend is a parts guy in a Lexus dealer in Colorado and he says his
co-workers are rude too.

By the way the best spin on filter for Mopar's is an AC Delco (YES,GM)
PF2,it's much bigger in size and has a lot more filtering capability than your
average parts store filter.
