ALSO: please be advised that there IS NO one-such company, known as the
"Auto Club" !
The corporate make-up of the AAA is VERY complex, and each regional
company is its own "Association", even in the different states.
A poor analogy might be the various & sundry Big Boy franchises in the
states (now; here's a new-thread) in OH, it's Fritche's, in MI its
Elias Bros; in CA it's BOB's...
In CA, we have TWO, completely-separate
"Auto Clubs" , which sell insurance: The Auto Club of Southern
California (" ACSC"; Dan Reitz's company, which happens to enjoy an
EXCELLENT claims-handling reputation), and The California State
Automobile Association (CSAA ; about which I have little contact, here
in Bishop).
IIRC, there are completely separate AAA companies, in WA & OR.
Caveat Emptor.

Snake Farm; I mean: State Farm, actually offers a very reasonable
premium, for full coverage (except for Collision; not available)
on my 57 Doggie, with no driving or garaging (good, cause Horrie sleeps
outside 24/7) restrictions.
The Snaker doesn't have the best Rep, for claims handling tho, in the
Industry---maybe that's why their rates are low!
