It's always nice to feel vindicated, as I have always blamed "Bobby" Eaton, for the Sell-Out of Chrysler, to Deadler. In Today's L.A.Times' Business Section, there is this mini-article: " Iacocca Points the Finger [!!!] In New Book " "I'll always believe that if I hadn't chosen Bob Eaton to succeed me as Chief Executive at Chrysler, it would still be a strong, profitable American car company. FORMER CHRYSLER CHIEF EXECUTIVE LEE IACOCCA, in 'Where Have All the Leaders Gone?' Eaton took over for Iaccoca in 1993 and stepped down in 2000. Chrysler was acquired by Deadler-Bends [sic] in 1998 ". AND, on the Tulsa-subject, Paula Hale reports that Virgil's concrete "garage", for the past 50 years is COMPLETELY intact!!!! She has promised that there will be NO "burn-outs", from the car, after it is un-earthed, to celebrate its Birth-day!!!
