The small block pattern 727 is what all the adapters use for installing a 727 behind an early Hemi/Poly engine. With an adapter, you could put an overdrive trans behind a Chrysler, DeSoto, or Dodge Hemi/Poly, or 318. This supplier can modify a 518 trans (727/OD) to take up to 800 horsepower. That should stand up fine to any stock 392 Chrysler 300 or 318 Fury. Ultrabell bell housing. Don't know how the 518 and lock-up converter would stand up to a stock HP engine or one that has been hopped up a little. Might have to invest some money in beefing up the tranny and converter. Bill Huff At 12/12/200609:32 PM, John J.
