Just remove all of the inside windshield trim pieces (held by phillips type screws). Use a plastic knife or similar tool and run it between the glass and the rubber, all the way around, inside and out. If you can fit it in, do the same between the rubber and the metal lip it sits on. Any stainless on the outside also needs to be removed. You may want to squirt a soapy water solution in around the glass to lubricate it, also, though I've never had to on a removal. Then, you just push it out. I've found the easiest way to do this is, put on some clean sneakers, and lay across the top of your seat and push with both feet, towards the outer corners, with steady light pressure until it pops out. I've pulled a '58 big rear glass, '60 rear glass, and '58 Imperial front and rear glass this way so far, plus glass in other (read GM) cars. Haven't broken one yet, except one I tried to take some shortcuts on - Bill K. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Filtz" <filtz1@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2006 2:52 PM Subject: [FWDLK] Replacing glass > Group, > > I just acquired a new windshield for my car.
