Re: [FWDLK] [Chrysler300] RE: [chryslerwagon] Exner concept wagon: 1955 Plainsman

According to my Standard Catalog of American Cars, the Plainsman was built on a 1955 Plymouth chassis using their new "V" 8.

I sent the seller an e-mail asking this question. Hopefully, he will answer it in the ad. Wouldn't it be cool if it has a dual-quad 331 hemi? It does
appear to have dual exhaust pipes.

I can't see the shifter in the interior shot, but the front glass and wiper mechanism look pretty much like standard '55 Chrysler. The tailfins show up
in later MoPar's (and Lincolns).

I hope it goes to a good home. Bidding is active to $60K, reserve not met.

Plainsman

It looks like it has the roof of a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser on backwards!

I wonder what the drive train is??

Wow. A 1955 Chrysler Plainsman Ghia Stationwagon Concept Prototype for sale
on ebay, and in still decent, original shape, it appears. Item #
260009474276 - check it out. Interesting history on this car as well. The
ultimate Mopar wagon ? Thanks, Jerry Olson, for pointing it out to me !
