sides are very different.  When thumb rest is at rear the wider base section is on the top.  there is r and l underneath also somewhere.

I'm selling a 55 Desoto door handle on ebay.  I'm getting questions as to wether this is a right or left hand door handle.  My parts book only lists one part number.

Is there really a right and left?  How can you tell the difference?
