Hi! I've already obtained my 'advance' reservation
@ the Crown Plaza, and, I've spoken, months ago, with some gentleman, at the
City's
Public Works, or whatever (can't recall his name,
now), regarding the 57 Plymouth un-earthing.
Anyway, maybe you can direct me, and/or this
message, to the proper person/facility, but my request/opinion/observation is
:
When the car is removed from its vault, it should
be lowered onto a LOW (as in : ground-level!!!) TURN-TABLE, so that the
people will NOT have to push/shove each other
or have to crowd-around the car, as it will
ROTATE slowly, with its doors/hood/trunk being OPENED, so that those of us who
WANT/NEED to see, and PHOTOGRAPH, the condition of the car can do so, very
easily.
The turn-table should be roped-off, with a diameter
of about 25 feet (the car being about 22' long, overall) so that no one gets
hurt, or can contact it, etc. BUT
EVERYONE can get a good look @ it, as it
REVOLVES!!!!!
Genius, huh?
As some people (finally!) get tired of looking at
it, they can move-away from the turn-table, and let someone else take their
position.
One 'spot' is as GOOD, as another, around the
car!
BUT, the turn-table "has" to be installed, so
that the car is as LOW, as possible, so as to be able to see INSIDE it, as it
revolves around.
A LOT of car aficionados are VERY
curious about the Original "as-manufactured" condition of this car ;
you might be amazed at the degree of restoration
interest, there is about mid-late 1950's
MoPars, and THIS car may (depending upon its condition---I'm betting that it
will emerge in virtually perfect condition!)
ANSWER a lot of them!!
So, PLEASE, let "us" get close to the car!!--the
turn-table device should allow "everyone" to get a good look @ it, while
preserving the car, & public safety!!
Thanx for 'listening'!!
