My 'take' on this "car" is a variation, on Joihn McCann's , in that I
find the car amusing (if not laughable), in appearance, but BECAUSE it
is a vintage effort, I hold no ill feelimngs about its being 'created'
(amatuerishly).
AND, because it was done 'in-the-day', it's a rather valuable historical
artifact ( what's that 'correct' term for crude, unsophisticated
homespun 'Folk Art', like Grandma Moses' paintings..???--and, I DON'T
mean :"kitsch"; altho this car is every-BIT, OF kitsch-art)
Now, if this were a 'modern'/contemporary project, I'd be upset about
the wastage of valuable 'resources', in its creation, AND in its
amatuerish-execution, in relation to all of the
technological 'tools', that are readily available
in auto 'restoration' work, today.

Since the customizing was done in 1958 when these
cars were plentiful and possibly new from the dealer with zero mileage, I would
think the customization saved this car from road use and abuse preserving rather
than destroying.

not to customuze one
Man, it looks like I am definitely outnumbered here on this one. I
must yield to the majority.
I suppose at the time, it was something to behold....but now, what with
the respect I have acquired over the years for the older Mopars, I still see
nothing but an abortion......
.....but like someone said, it's all a matter of personal taste.
Apologies offered if I managed to offend anyone with my comments.
