Re: [FWDLK] Excellent reference pub - 1955 Coronet

I have a 1955 Coronet with flathead six and duals.

Of course, the duals are not factory equipment.   ;-)
Best sounding car I have ever owned.

Subject: [FWDLK] Excellent reference pub

I recently ordered and received a book by James T. Lenzke named ‘The Standard Catalog of Chrysler (1914-2000)’.

I bought this to find the minute details about my 1955 Dodge Coronet with poly V8 and Powerflite tranny.   I was curious if the dual exhaust were original in that the engine has a 2 bbl carb.  According to the book, there was a accessory option for $48 that included a windshield washer, WW tires and engine power package.  I am going to conclude here that the latter was the addition of dual exhaust as I have the ww washer and there are WW tires on the car and the original spare is WW.  Car has 67K miles).  It would not be logical to remove the 4 bbl and replace it with a 2 bbl.

Any one else have a ’55 Coronet with a poly 2bbl engine and duals?
