HI, The Dextron will make softer shifts and the Type F will make firmer shifts. Both will work fine just make sure you change all the fluid including the torque converter.

Hi everyone I am going to change fluid and check the Power Flite in my 60 Phoenix and i would like to know what is the best fluid to run in it.Im sure I have used the Dextron before but friends have told me the type F is better.Any suggestions?   Thanks all.        Jack in Michigan
