FL'ers - I took another look at the situation and realized that there must be something I was missing. Description: The hand brake warning light has a socket, cylindrical threaded doodad (CTD), a large, thin hex-head retaining gizmo and the outer bezel and lens. The bulb would not fit into the CTD to make contact with the socket because the globe was too large. Solution: I figured that there must be another way to get the bulb in the socket. I yanked on the CTD and it popped off the socket. Upon examining the CTD, I discovered that it tapers as it goes away from the socket. When I fit the bulb into the socket and slid the CTD over the globe, it fit perfectly. I snapped the CTD back onto the socket and I was in business ! Problem solved !! I used the #68 bulb, which is plenty bright, to prevent the lens from burning.
