Be sure the switch on the dash at the map light (above the ashtray) is in the right position and didn't get bumped/shorted...assuming your '59 has one there like mine does.

I fiddled with the switches on the door jamb but when i pressed it in, the light just got a little dimmer. What happened and how do I fix this??
