Re: [FWDLK] Master Cylinder Mysteries

I know they show in factory photos a rubber line on the master cylinder but in 20 years and a dozen 57-8 Plymouths including my first which was a 23,000 mile car,I have yet to see a rubber hose on a car.The correct way these go is an "s" bent line from the bottom fitting hole(the s is to absorb vibration) and the switch off the front as per pictures of my first '57 in 1984 when I got it.Now my 56,000 mile Silver Special parts car is done the other way,but they used a brass adaptor to put the line in the front (upper) fitting which even as you stated is a different thread.I hope this helps you Ron,if you were converting to a dual master cylinder and disc brakes I could help you more....and while we are at it a Hemi would look nice in there!
