"See Trial"... that's a good name, and has a better sound to it maybe than the "test beat" that stuck with me from when I worked at a mustang/shelby restoration shop. I have a friend with 4 speed Road Runners, and he quite literally does take them out for a beating during break in, under the philosophy that you break them in the way you're going to drive them. For him, the clutch is for starting out, and bringing the car to a stop. Not for use during hard acceleration.
