As I understand it, the build sheet listed all the items that were to go into each particular car, and went to the different depts that fed the ass'y line. This was so they could get the right stuff on the feed lines to all come together in the sequential order. Not sure when this practice started, so your findings may vary. Before sending off to Chrysler, look under the rear seat and/or the seat back. Also up over the glove box. They've been found in other hidden spots. You're looking for a piece of paper folded up with all the info on it. It's a form with various boxes filled in with typed code numbers. Follow this link to an eBay auction of a 1964 Chrysler 300K. The upholstery guys got all the interior parts on the feed line and lore has it the the workers were responseable for emptying their trash, so they stuffed the build sheet in the upholstery to get rid of it.
