I am working on a 57 dodge with a d500 and it has sanderson headers on it
but the passenger side is not clearing torsion bar. I am having to bend it over
to clear. I am also having problems bolting stock mounts on. I can put mounts on
but not the right way. Doing the way I have it now it is not leaving enough
clearance for the steering center link to the oil pan. I do not know what I am
doing to fix that problem yet. I will post something once I find out exactly
what I am going to do.

Didn't someone post on here a while back that if someone would lend their
car or come up for a day, Sanderson Headers would use the car for a 'template'
so they could make headers that fit these cars?

The headers in my Hemi Fury are home built,modified(heavily)E-body
Hooker Competition headers. For B and RB engines The only person I've known
to have any luck was my friend Charlie(builder of my Fury),he used
fenderwell headers for early B-Bodies,and on his last car he built before my
Fury he modified a set of A-body fenderwell headers. The best advice from
his, many other friends and my experiences is to use Mopar Hipo exhaust
manifolds, they fit great and flow well.Custom headers usually cost $1500 or
more,hipo manifolds cost less than $300 and won't rust out.Just my 2-cents
worth.
