Bill, "it" wasn't quick, or easy, but it WAS a labor of love, & of delusion(sp?), in that Garlick INVENTED a cartoonish "back-story" to support a provenance, for a car that 'never-was'! It's just too-bad that Garlock didn't 'advertise' it as a fantasy-custom; a car that "should/might/ could have-been", but, of course, "wasn't" !! Y'know, really, the only 'part' that doesn't "go" on the car is the 30's/40's style toilet-seat deck lid. As a pure-custom, the car is worth around $40K, which is ABOUT what Garlock's got into it ; but, of course, as a 1-of-THREE weird-o, it's "worth" what?: $100K????----that's where the Hemming's "play" came-in . As a "custom" the 'work' is almost TOO sophisticated/subtle, to be appreciated, UN-like a "Lead-sled", is. The BEST thing to do, IMHO, is to replace the deck lid, & install these letters, on the hood & trunk: "PLODGE"---seriously!
