Hi Bill, I had a quick look in my '58 Canadian parts book and from what I saw, the main parts (motors for example) from the electric windows assemblies are specific to '58 Imperials. Nuts, bolts, fasteners and links interchange with the whole '58 Mopar line-up, however. It was just a quick look (because I might have been interested if it was interchangeable) so I might have missed something obvious. Envoyé : mercredi 4 août 2004 10:30 À : L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Objet : [FWDLK] Interchange - power windows - 1957-9 Having not heard back from someone who wanted the power window equipment in the '58 Imperial carcass I picked up, I was thinking I might run it on eBay. How much of the parts used in these will interchange over to other Mopars? I would imagine the motors and the switches will swap to other 57-59 cars anyways, but would guess the tracks and internal parts will be unique to the Imperial hardtop doors '57 to possibly as late as '63. Also, where is the control for a power seat on this vintage Imperial? Doors will not open and I felt around quick but did not find anything. But then I was going gingerly so I didn't cut myself open on the remains of the driver's door glass - (I know a '65 is on the side of the seat, toward the front, so thats where I was looking). I'm going to assume the front and rear glass in this uses the same key strip the 1960 windows use? Want to save these for the coupe. Anyone know if the dash can be unbolted in one piece and removed?
