Hiya Tony! Funny thing; Horrie's @ the Doctor's, for a "make-over" (re-painting), so his spare tire (OEM 8x14" bias ply) is outside. I just measured its o. d., and recorded approximately 27.5" --it's definitely taller than the P225/75 R14's which he's wearing, now. Does anyone know the o.d. of the P235's ? This measurement would be "un-loaded". I also wonder what the actual "loaded" 'height' would be, of both tires (for odometer/speedometer - recording purposes). I presume that the "loaded-ride-height " of the radials would be considerably 'smaller' than the outside-diameter of the "loaded" bias plys. Anyone done any real-world comparisons? Neil |
